Supporting New Moms Through Recovery

Bringing new life into the world is an incredible journey — but it’s also one of the most physically demanding experiences a woman’s body can go through. During pregnancy and delivery, the spine, pelvis, and surrounding muscles are placed under tremendous stress. After birth, many moms experience back pain, pelvic discomfort, neck pain, headaches, or lingering tension as their body works hard to heal and adapt.

That’s where postpartum chiropractic care can make a meaningful difference.

Why Postpartum Chiropractic Care Matters

  • Pelvic Alignment: Childbirth can shift the pelvis and hips out of balance. Chiropractic adjustments help restore proper alignment, easing pain and supporting mobility.

  • Spinal support: Do you find yourself falling asleep sitting up or in awkward positions while holding or feeding your baby? I call this nursing neck where now you have to add neck pain the list of all your other pains! Carrying your baby also often strains the neck, shoulders, and lower back. Getting adjustments can give you immediate relief from the pain and tension.

  • Nervous System Function: Adjustments support nervous system balance, helping the body recover more efficiently from the physical demands of pregnancy and delivery.

  • Core & Recovery Connection: Our rehab specialist can help guide you on postpartum stretches and exercises specific for your needs.

"Every woman’s postpartum journey is unique. Whether you delivered naturally or by C-section, our chiropractic care is tailored to your body’s specific needs and healing timeline. What we tell new moms
is to come in as soon as you feel ready, which can be as soon as days after giving birth! Even if you had a C-section, you can still safely get your neck treated until your OB fully releases you which is typically 6 weeks. Many moms also choose to have their babies examined on one of their visits so we can make sure their nervous system is fully functioning to allow for healthy growth.

If you’re a new mom experiencing discomfort after delivery, or if you simply want to give your body the support it deserves, we invite you to schedule a postpartum chiropractic visit today."
